Winter is grey enough as it is. The sand-coloured leather RURAQ boots keep your feet warm with a wool lining, while the trekking sole supports every step on pavements and forest paths. The higher cut keeps your ankles protected from the cold.
RURAQ means creator in Quechua. This time, we raised the popular model above the ankle and equipped it for winter. Compared with the winter TIKSI, it has a higher cut. The upper combines wax-treated natural nubuck with suede details, while a thick wool lining keeps your feet warm inside.
The laces let you adjust the boot comfortably across the instep and around the ankle. But there is no need to untie them every time – the side zip cuts slipping them on down to a few seconds. A pull loop at the heel makes it even easier.
A stitched-on protective rand shields the lower part and helps keep moisture and dirt away from the upper. The Neo Grip sole has a pronounced trekking tread for a surer step on winter pavements and paths beyond them.
Neither the higher cut nor the winter features take anything away from the barefoot feel. Your foot has room to move naturally inside, helping it stay warmer when the temperature drops.
